JavaMail to MySQL

I'm working on a project in which I must retrieve email messages from a pop box and store them in a database. At a later time, the messages will be retrieved and viewed as if viewing them from a regular mail client. I've been playing with the JavaMail API. It seems to be a great API assembled by Sun that does everything and anything when it comes to email. Downside, no support for database messages stores.. So now I'm tasked with the problem. How do I build "database store" functionality into the application? I think I've exhausted googling trying to find an answer. I'm going to put my focus into really getting a grip on the inner workings of the JavaMail API and figuring this out!
